our chunka monka

Here's our sweet baby Levi. I love that he's responding more and more and usually smile when prompted! He's got the chubbiest cheeks and double chin and it's yummy to kiss on! Try it :)

I love this shot of our two boys. Jax' picture is so cute and Levi is just an adorable CHUNKa Monka! (This is a throw-back to my childhood. You see when I was a toddler, I had a pink coat with the saying "hunka monka" on it. I have pictures of me in it with my chubby cheeks and long brown curls. So cute! If I do say so myself. And there you go)

Levi has been enjoying his tub baths for a few weeks now. He does really well, compared to how I remember Alivia and Jackson freaking out and just not seeming comfortable in the tub. He just lounges in his hammock while he gets clean. What a cute face!

About 2 weeks ago, Levi found his thumb. This has helped him to sleep through the night. However, I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not- the thumb-sucking that is. Our other kids didn't do this, so it's new to me. However, it is genetic as Levi's daddy sucked his thumb (on occasion) until he went to Kindergarten. I guess they do grow out of it.... Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the full night's sleep, but this is new territory to me. He does still take the binki on occasion. It seems he saves his thumb for the middle of the night or early morning.

It seems I can't get enough pictures of Levi sleeping. He's so cute and they're so precious. He's like a cherubic angel when he sleeps. So much to kiss on!

dc trip

Daddy celebrated his birthday a couple weeks ago! Hooray! He took the day off and we headed down to DC for our first family trip to the Smithsonians. Can you believe it? It actually was a very good day.

Mommy and kids at the Washington Monument, well, we walked BY it, if that counts...

We decided we'd just go the Museum of Natural History this time. I think we all love the HUGE elephant that greets you in the rotunda of the museum. How can you forget it?

The kids found this brass monkey and thought they needed to take a picture by it, along with all the other passers by. What is it that makes us want to do this? Odd...

We had a GREAT day! Everyone did really well, and we even found a parking spot fairly easy. It was farther away from the museum than we'd anticipated and the cold wind about did us in while we walked around the construction on the sidewalk, but I'd say that was the only hiccup of the trip. A definite success!

bruisers!

Can you believe it?! These two were quite the sight last week. They both had serious bruises on their faces. Alivia got her's while getting ready to leave preschool. She tripped and hit the corner of the counter. 

Jackson got his when he tripped and hit the corner of the closet door. OUCHIE!

wacky day

Miss Alivia has been in preschool this year and is LOVING IT! It has been so good for her! Each week they have a new letter, and a new "word of the week". This last week the letter was W. They had a Wacky Wednesday and this was her on that special day. She wore her shirt inside out and backwards, pants backwards (which was a little uncomfortable), mismatched shoes and socks, and ...

WACKY HAIR! I love it!

yippee he's three!

It's hard to believe our little boy is THREE! And, he's not so little anymore, AND he's a big brother now too! He's had a busy few months. :)

  Jackson is REALLY into SPIDERMAN right now, along with all of Spiderman's friends- Wolverine (aka "ulveen" - how he pronounces it), Iron Man, Hulk, Captain 'merica, along with SuperMan and Batman. To go along with his current obsession, he had a SPIDERMAN (aka 'piderman) birthday, complete with Spiderman goodie bags, cupcakes, and Spiderman gifts! He was in heaven! He got a new motorcycle trike bike, complete with Spiderman helmet, and enjoys riding it, even in the garage when it's rainy outside (which has been a LOT lately).

 Some funny things he says that I want to remember forever:

• 'Livia Kay - he used to call Alivia "Dat", then it was "eeee-a", and now it's Livia Kaye, nice progress Bud
• 'nuggle me up - aka snuggle me up; he's a snuggle bug like his Mommy. When he wakes up in the morning he comes out carrying his camo blanket, Scentsy Buddy Leo the Lion, and his puppy Pillow Pet. Once they're all lined up, he gets settled and asks me to "nuggle me up" which means cover me up with the blanket so I can be snuggly. I LOVE it!!
• help me wif dese tinkin' shoes - aka help me with these stinkin' shoes. Just thinking about it makes me laugh. We were headed out the door to get Alivia to preschool and he was struggling getting his shoes on, then this came out of his mouth. I could hardly keep a straight face.
• mine ister- aka my sister
• me hungee- aka I'm hungry
• mine ivans - aka I need my vitamins
• big chubble- aka big trouble
• pezdent Monson - aka President Monson
• nuffeen- aka nothing
• I've taken to calling his lingo "Jacksonese"
• and he stutters sometimes when his mind goes faster than his lips

Today was his 3 year check up. He was understandable a bit leery of going, as he told me "not it good day go to doctor". Haha, nice try sneaky one. But, he pulled through marvelously! He sat on Daddy's lap and pinched his eyes shut when it was time for his one shot. He didn't cry, only winced a little, and he hardly even bled! I told him he's like a SUPER HERO because he didn't cry and he hardly bled! He liked that, and proudly picked out his Thomas sticker as we went on our way.

What a cute big brother and our chunko little brother.

It looks like its going to work, then nothing. Ugh.
